The 2022 Oscar ceremony, taking place Sunday, March 27, will find those nomination leaders facing off against a wide range of contenders, from the small-scale family indie CODA-a recent winner of a slew of industry awards-to the hit apocalyptic comedy Don’t Look Up. The films with the most nominations at the 2022 Oscars are literally worlds apart- Dune, the expansive sci-fi epic set on several fictional planets, earned 10 nominations, while the New Zealand–filmed Western The Power of the Dog leads the pack with 12 nominations in total.
