Once that's done, then pop the other clips loose being careful not to move the top forward (you can tear the trim upper segment). Pop the glass window and remove the screws in there (they are the plastic nut style - without pressing in much pressure gently unscrew until you can grab them and remove). To remove the inside trim lower, you pop the trim piece forward - but be careful - it actually comes off in an upward direction.

You can remove your rear trim pieces and inspect - the rear chrome piece above the license plate is my guess where yours would be - this is held to the deck by four nuts. So - just came back from the garage - with all the stuff back there on the hatch - 2 switches, the wiper motor, two opening actuators (glass window and entire deck) - lights - it appears that all the wiring to my deck was utilized (in other words I did NOT notice an extra pigtail that might have been connected to a camera). This is after I had them provide me with the Maestro data adapter unit (to retain steering wheel button controls) and a nominal fee for them to also build the completed harness for me. They did not suggest any kind of adapters or splices so I assumed I could not readily adapt. I did not bother to check earlier because I bought my camera and head unit from Crutchfield - they are very good with support. I just went out and checked to see if there was an extra pigtail out there. I have just finished installing a rear camera in my car and the rear hatch inside lower trim has not yet been reinstalled. Oftimes cars are wired for all the options even if the hardware was not part of that car. I have a '12 and looked into this since I only had the EL XLT.
